This high-performance bottom-end kit has been developed for the Alfa Romeo 2000 Twin Spark engine, offering forged pistons, precision-engineered liners, high-grade bearings, IWIS timing chains, and Reinz gaskets. It provides the durability and performance foundation required for fast-road, track-day, and full competition use.

Engineering Basis

  • Engine base: Alfa Romeo 2000 Twin Spark (original bore × stroke: 84 × 88.5 mm, displacement 1,962 cc).
  • Bore options:
    • 84 mm (standard) → 1,962 cc
    • 85 mm → 2,009 cc
    • 86 mm → 2,056 cc
  • Compression ratio options:
    • 10.5:1 – suitable for 91–93 octane fuel
    • 11.0:1 – optimized for premium fuels
    • 11.5:1 – for maximum performance with high-octane competition fuel
  • Geometry considerations:
    • Stock 2000 TS is undersquare (stroke > bore).
    • Increasing bore to 85 mm and 86 mm shifts the design closer to square geometry, improving breathing and rpm potential.
